Exciting things continue to happen in the Etz Yoseph Project as we got back from Israel in June, and from the MIA conference at Maryville, TN in July. Many of you have joined the endeavor of finding the tribes of Yisra'el by faith first and then by DNA testing... Hebrews 11: 40 God had planned something better for us so that only together with us would they be made perfect.
As we get new results the pattern continues and most of you in the Etz Yoseph project fall into one of these branches: J, I, E1b1b1, G, T, Q, R1a1, R1b1a2 . These are the same eight Y-chromosome haplogroups that the Jews living today in 2011 fall into... a coincidence?
The results of the Y- haplogroups of the Ephraimites that we found in Israel are, R1b1a2, R1a1, and I, following the same prototype as the previous members of Etz Yoseph from other parts of the world. So why is it that their Y-Chromosome results fall into these same eight groups, no matter where they are living in the world today? They all have one thing in common:
1) First they are believers in Yeshua as the Messiah promised to the world in Genesis as soon as man sinned against YHVH by not believing Him. ( Genesis 3:15)
2) Second they all have their Hebraic genetic memory awoken and believe that they are part of Israel. ( Hosea 1:10 and Romans 9:26)
3) Third they understand that the identification of the 12 Tribes of Israel at end of times will happen as its prophecy is written in the Word of God, and we are living in these latter times. ( Revelation 7:1-8)
In Petra, Jordan, there was one Ishmaelite that believes that he is a descendant of Nebaioth, the first son of Ishmael ( Genesis 25:13). Remember Ishmael was the brother of Isaac, the uncle of Ya'acov. The problem is that he has two ancestors named Moses. The Y-DNA result came back J1 that are usually found in Arabs and Jews of the Middle East, the problem is that he also has the "Cohen Modal genetic marker" of the Priests Cohen descendants of Aaron. So is he actually a descendant of Aaron that converted to Islam so he could survive many years ago?
The numbers in the study are still small to identify the tribes and we pray for patience and for the Lord to continue calling His people to the understanding of who they are by faith first and to move them to have their DNA test by genetics as a second witness.

We have added another sub-group, Asher and Gad companions by faith, represented by the Y-DNA Haplogroup "I" with its two subdivisions so far: "I1" and "I2b1":
I. First witness: Tracing the tribe of Gad and Asher by faith: Tribe of Gad blessings:
1) Good fortune: Genesis 30:11-- Then Leah said, "What good fortune!" So she named him Gad. 2) Executed the Justice of the Lord by helping his people to conquer the rest of Canaan. Also he is involved in executing the ordinances, the law, the righteousness, the Torah of YHVH for Ysra'el. He defended with arms his brothers in Ysra'el:
Deuteronomy 33:20-21 -- 20 Of Gad he said, Blessed be he who enlarges Gad: He dwells as a lioness, Tears the arm, yes, the crown of the head.
21 He provided the first part for himself, For there was the lawgiver's portion reserved; He came [with] the heads of the people; He executed the righteousness of the LORD, His ordinances with Yisra'el.
3) Fighters ...military. Genesis 49:19 -- 19 "Gad, a troop will press on him; But he will press on their heel.
Tribe of Asher Blessings:
1) Happy:
Genesis 30:13 -Le'ah said, "Happy am I, for the daughters will call me happy." She named him Asher
2) Rich or not lacking in basic necessity. Royalty provider or even himself will give kings and queens. Asherite may be involved in baking or cooking delicious dainties. Genesis 49:20 -Out of Asher his bread will be fat, He will yield royal dainties.
3) Involved with his family (making peace between members of family, like brothers). Oil benefits...Olive oil grooves brought richness to Asher in the past...What about oil petroleum today?...Also will be very strong, specially with iron and brass in the military. Deuteronomy 33:24 --Of Asher he said, Blessed be Asher with children; Let him be acceptable to his brothers, Let him dip his foot in oil. 25 Your bars shall be iron and brass; As your days, so shall your strength be 4) Involved with living close to the sea...The land given to Asher was in the Northern coast of Israel, close to the Phoenicians. ( Joshua 19:24-29)
Testimony of six of the Etz Yoseph companions of Gad and Asher, Y-Haplogroup "I", by Faith first, blessings manifested abundantly in their lives, to those that obey YHVH's voice. Note: Words in green are the words of the witnesses.
Y-Haplogroup "I" - Testimony 1: "A great love of trees." (Remember that the richness of Asher came from the oil of the olive tree grooves) "Standing for what was right against the odds" (As the tribe of Asher did, standing with Gideon and pursuing the Medianites, or the prophetesses Anna from the tribe of Asher telling everyone that the Savior of Israel was borne). Family says they are of Welsh descent...
Y-Haplogroup "I" - Testimony 2: If I had to chose one tribe according to the blessings in the bible it would be Gad, because they were "Fortunate" and "happy going"... Numerous with strong family union.
Y-Haplogroup "I" - Testimony 3: One of the Ephraimites that was living in Israel with his family. "To me it looks like I'm from Gad. The strongest hint for me is: that I received what sounded to me like a prophecy in the midst of the inheritance of the tribe of Gad. Out of the blue a man my age approached me from behind, put his hand on my shoulder and told me: "My son - all that you see will one day be yours" while I was standing at the Jabbok facing east. We had worked together at an archaeological digging site for only two days - he didn't know me - yet he proclaimed these words over my life." The Jabbok is a river on the east side of the Jordan that the tribe of Gad used to live in that side. We find it in the bible in Numbers 21:24-- Israel, however, put him to the sword and took over his land from the Arnon to the Jabbok, but only as far as the Ammonites, because their border was fortified."
Y-Haplogroup "I" - Testimony 4: "I went to Israel for six months, right after Hurricane Katrina in 2005. I was volunteering and the job I was working my days off were Friday, and Shabbat. So the place I volunteered at was right next to Jerusalem, so on almost every Friday I went to the temple mount. I spent as much time as I could at the court yard that the wall is in, and the old city was my favorite part of all of Israel. Since I have left I have almost all of Genesis, Exodus, some of Deut, some of Isaiah, a couple of the Minor Prophets, 13 New Testament books hand copied. I am currently enrolled in OSU. My major Hebrew, so I can master this Language, which to me is very important, so I can grow in my understanding of Him. I love to talk about Hashem to any one that listen's, but this sometimes is hard because they do not understand what I am talking about, or they believe that only one half of the Bible is for them. One of my most reoccurring thoughts is why do all these people say they love Hashem, but do not talk about Him? I strongly feel that Hashem has been teaching me, and molding me, so one day when He is ready. He will use me to teach others. I must be honest I am mixed up inside, because I do not want the responsibility of being a teacher, I often think of what Moses had to go through, but the other side in respectful humbleness is willing to take the job on."I think I am Levi... Remember that we may have many different tribes as our ancestors and we may exhibit blessings from different tribes. This may bring confusion and we need to continue to ask YHVH to helps us find our tribe...
Y-Haplogroup "I" - Testimony 5: If you had to pick a tribal gate of the original twelve tribes to enter into the New Jerusalem, which one would you pick? "Gen. 49: 20 "... From Asher - his bread will have richness and he will provide kingly delicacies" or "... Asher's food is rich - he will provide food fit for a king" Deut. 33:24 "... Of Asher - he said, 'the most blessed of children is Asher, he shall be pleasing to his brothers and dip his feet in oil.' or "... Of Asher - he said, 'May Asher be most blessed of sons, may he be the favorite among his brothers and bathe his feet in oil." Since coming into the walk with ABBA and Yeshua HE has opened our eyes and ears and answered our prayers in response to our questions about these matters. We specifically asked which tribe... the response we got was Asher. We have five sons...no daughters... our baking and cooking is greatly praised by those who know us."
Y-Haplogroup "I" - Testimony 6: "Question 12: I have had good fortune throughout my life. I have been blessed in many ways, I have few problems in life. So, in that regard the tribe of Gad does fit." Also involved in the military. These Y-Haplogroup classifications and the tribes of Gad and Asher are not set in stone and they may change as we find more information. The sample group is too small.
II. Second Witness: Tracing the tribes of Asher and Gad from the First Coming of Messiah Yeshua to the Second Coming, by Geographical Diaspora.
As the search for the lost tribes have become more urgently as the time of Ya'akov's trouble approaches there has been many speculation theories tracing the Diaspora of the Tribe of Asher...Keep into account that the tribe of Asher is already splinter into two in the bible. One part was deported by the Assyrian Empire to the other side of the Euphrates and lost their identity in the gentile world and the second group of Asherians went down to Judah, later were exiled by the Romans and lost their identity in the Jewish world...So how are we going to identify them by following geographical location in the world? They are probably found in at least two different countries in the world since ancient times, but we will follow the theory trails:

III. Third witness by Y-DNA haplogroup of "I" distribution in the world.
In human genetics, Haplogroup I (the letter I, not the number 1) is a Y-chromosome DNA haplogroup, a subgroup of haplogroup IJ, itself a derivative of Haplogroup IJK.
As we can see by faith in YHVH and His blessings in the Bible, geographical wanderings and DNA Y-chromosome haplogroups, the group "I" is probably Asher and Gad Companions.
We have 88 members so far in the project, and YHVH willing, more will continue to be added until we can see clearly the Y-Chromosome of the 12 Tribes of Israel. We will continue to post articles in the archives of Etz Yoseph as The Lord allows time, check us at www.etzyoseph.org.
