The Battle For Jerusalem
The End Of The Peace Process
by Angus Wootten
Shalom,
It appears to be a foregoing conclusion that that the UN General Assembly, in its 66th Session, will pass a resolution regarding Palestinian Statehood. I have addressed this in two recent articles:  UN is on the Brink of Voting For Palestinian Statehood, and Will Israel Annex Judea and Samaria If the UN Recognizes Palestinian Statehood?

Quite naturally we are all concern about the impact it will have on the present state of Israel in the immediate future. Hindsight is always better then foresight, so I felt led to share a House of David Herald Newsletter from 1995. When it was written it was foresight but today, some seventeen years later it is hindsight. The problems then and the problems now are the same.

The Battle For Jerusalem
The End Of The Peace Process

Will man's "Peace Process," as it is presently being worked out in the Middle East, bring peace to the land of Israel? Or, will we once again see the outworking of Jeremiah's prophecy: "They have healed the brokenness of My people superficially, saying, 'Peace, peace', but there is no peace" (Jeremiah 6:14).
We can be assured that true peace will never come to a 'broken' or 'divided' house of Israel. For, Yah-veh's plan for the, restored kingdom of Israel requires the reunion of the two houses of Israel: Ephraim and Judah.' Yeshua, who was given the job of raising up the tribes of Jacob, and of restoring the preserved ones of Israel, spoke often about the restoration of the Kingdom of Israel.' Although in Him, objectively, the Kingdom is already restored - subjectively, however, it is being restored, day by day in the hearts of His people. This subjective restoration will continue on an individual basis until Yeshua returns, and manifests His kingdom on earth establishing His rule over the material kingdoms of this world (Revelation 1 1:15).
The question that faces those who desire to see the establishment of the government of the Prince of Peace here on earth is the same one the disciples had on the Mount of Olives some two thousand years ago: "Is it at this time that You are restoring the kingdom to Israel," they asked (Acts 1:6)? Further, in addition to the question of time, there is the question of how the outworking of the man's peace process relates to Yahveh's peace process.
How are we to know the time when Yahveh will restore the kingdom to Israel? Like Daniel, who searched the Scriptures concerning the time of the return to Jerusalem from the Babylonian Captivity, we too can search for those events that will signal the return of the Greater Son of David to His city (Daniel 9:2). And, the main event that will herald the end of this age, and Yeshua's return, will be the gathering of all the nations against Jerusalem (Zechariah 14:2). With that fact in mind, lets us now look at man's "Peace Process," to determine whether or not we are seeing the fulfillment of Zechariah's prophecy.
We will start our examination with the text of the U.N. Security Council resolution adopted on March 18, 1994. The supposed main purpose of the resolution was to condemn the Hebron massacre and to stress the need to protect Palestinian people. However, tucked neatly into the preamble to this resolution were the following paragraphs:
"...Reaffirming its relevant resolutions, which affirmed the application of the fourth Geneva Convention of 12 August 1949 to the territories occupied by Israel in June 1967, including Jerusalem..."
...CALLS FOR measures to be taken to guarantee the safety and protection of the Palestinian civilians throughout the occupied territory, including, inter alia (among other things), a temporary international or foreign presence..."
In other words: The nations of this world have declared that the ancient tribal areas of Samaria, Judea and the city of Jerusalem, are Palestinian territories. And that means they are claiming that the ancient territories of the Kingdoms of Ephraim and Judah, and the city of David, now belong to the sons of Ishmael, and not to the sons of Isaac. Moreover, the United Nations has declared that it will use force, if necessary, to effect this unscriptural declaration.
Is this not the beginning of the fulfillment of Zechariah 14:2? Are we not presently seeing the stirring of all nations as they gather against Jerusalem? And it is not only the secular nations that are gathering against Jerusalem and refusing to recognize it as the capital of the Jewish State of Israel. In the past, the Vatican and the World Council of Churches have long demanded internationalization of Jerusalem. Today, after establishing diplomatic ties with the nation of Israel, the Vatican continues to seek stronger guarantees for "free access to Jerusalem as a holy place for all religions," which is only another way to say "internationalization."

In a way, Pope John Paul II summed it up quite nicely in a recent interview: "We trust that, with the approach of the year 2000, Jerusalem will become the city of peace for the entire world and that all the people will be able to meet there..." It is interesting that he gives the year 2000 as the year when it will become the city of peace for the entire world. For the year 2000 will mark the seventh anniversary of the signing of the 1993 agreement between the Vatican and Israel.

If you have been following events in Israel during the past sixteen months, there can be no doubt in your mind that you have been watching the initial acts of, "The Great Give Away. " This is a play which stars Israel's Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin, its Foreign Minister Shimon Peres, and the Palestinian's Chairman Yasser Arafat, and Chief PLO negotiator. Nabil Shaath. Direction and orchestration for this production is provided by the United States: chief spokesman for the United Nations. The initial theme of "The Great Give Away" was for Israel to give land for peace. And, the ungodly government of Rabin and Peres, in their search for peace, are playing their part quite well, by being willing to give up all claims to the West Bank (Judea and Samaria), the Golan, and to return to pre 1967 borders. But somehow Arafat and Shaath have bungled their parts Instead of greater peace they have delivered even more violence and unrest. Thus, the theme we are seeing develop is for Israel to give-give-give, and the Arab Palestinians to get-get-get.

A Call To Ephraimites

If you feel a deep kinship with Israel, Yahveh is whistling for Ephraim. He is strengthening those who answer His call by removing the blindness regarding their identity-that they may again be like mighty men (Zechariah 10:7-12, Hosea 11: 10; Romans 11 :25). Our Father is giving them a "knowing" deep within their being that they are Israelites - it is like the "knowing" they have regarding their personal relationship with the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. This "knowing" is changing their lives, causing them to see the need to walk in righteousness - as Israelites (Isaiah 27:9). And it is giving them an even deeper love for their brother, Judah.

Israel's Feasts and their Fullness   Having YHVH's people celebrate His appointed Feasts is extremely important. The reason given by Moses and Aaron to Pharaoh as to why the Israelites should leave Egypt was, "Thus says the LORD, the God of Israel, 'Let My people go that they may celebrate a feast to Me in the wilderness" (Exodus 5:2). YHVH makes it clear that His people must celebrate His appointed Feasts forever (2 Chr 2:4).

The challenge for us today is that, we do not have the same Levitical Priesthood, a tabernacle or a temple, nor an animal sacrificial system, all of which are required in order to celebrate YHVH's appointed  feasts in the manner that He outlined in Torah. So, what are we to do? How then, are we to celebrate?

Israel's Feasts and their Fullness - Expanded Edition by Batya Wootten, is an anointed book that shows Believers how to celebrate the Feasts of Israel in a way that honors Yeshua and helps to restore the two houses of Israel. It shows what Scripture says about each feast, compares that to the traditions of both Judaism and Christianity, then she suggests ways in which we can help bring joyous restoration to the whole house of Israel.

This feast book is like no other. It is truly unique in its perspectives. Acclaimed as the "best feast book ever," in this new Expanded Edition, Israel's Feasts and their Fullness offers even more prophetic insights!

In her delightful, penetrating style, Batya examines the feasts and shows how they relate to Israel's reunion, redemption, and full restoration. She explains why Believers now feel led to celebrate the feasts, and how their celebrations relate to the latter days. Her astute observations bring encouragement, clarity and fresh insights at every turn.

The Feast book contains Simple Celebration Instruction Guides for the Sabbath, Havdalah, and Passover, plus it includes a Guide which gives a suggested outlined for Ten Days of Prayer for the Ten Days of Awe (the ten days from Yom Teruah to Yom Kippur). Guides are available in print, and/or you can download a PDF of each guide.

Batya's feast book is an exciting read that offers us hope for our future. It is a "must have" for your library shelf. You will refer to it again and again for years to come. Many people have told us that they reread particular feast sections as the feasts approach each year, and they keep gaining new insights from the book. It is also a wonderful gift for family members and friends.

This book is an essential tool for those who hope to see the whole house of Israel be restored! To go with this tool, we are making a free offer that will be available through September 30, 2011:

With each copy of Israel's Feasts and their Fullness - Expaned Edition we will include a complementary set of the five printed guides.
